This picture was taken after the preliminary work of removing the walnut filler strip with the Bridgeport milling machine. Notice the flattened rod with the round ends, probably flattened to prevent rotational torquing of the truss rod. A new threaded end was welded on to replace the part that snapped behind the bullet adjusting nut at the peg head. Thanks to Mike Bernardi for doing the welding for me. |
